Where to get a stock slip yoke from?
Where to get a stock slip yoke from?
The yoke in my (JG1) aluminum DS is pitted and such, it was causing a tranny fluid leak (I had already replaced the seal). From the JY I picked up a stock steel driveshaft today and put it in to use temporarily, and to see if it would fix the leak, and it did. Of course I would like to just use that yoke, but the two are different. I need one that fits a stock aluminum DS.
Does anyone know where I can find one of these?

how are they diffrent, they both should use a 1310 series U-joint, the lenght should be the same, and the spline count should be the same?

The length and spline count are the same, but the yoke from the aluminum DS's have C-clips on the outsides of the U-joint, the steel ones have the clips on the inside. I didn't think to measure the U-joint cap diameter at the time, so they *may* be different as well. Either way, I have to find a stock replacement yoke for the aluminum one.

Or if you are looking for a cheaper than call a local transmission shop and they should be able to get you an after market one.
