Thowout bearing

Engine: none, 350, 2.8
Transmission: none, t-5, 5-speed
Thowout bearing
I was wondering if a hydrolic(sp?) throw out bearing would work allright in my 83. i know a kid that has one in his truck and he said it works pretty good. i am thinking about going this route because i cannot find a different behousing and fork anywhere in this *** forsaken state.
