Beefing up my T-5

Ok, well the T-5 in my 91 Z28 was rebuilt a month before I bought it, only it was rebuilt to stok specs. What can I do to beef it up at all? I'm getting a 400hp 350 dropped in next week, and I want to be sure It will be able to handle the power.

It's not really the 400 HP that will kill it as much as torque will. What kind of torque will this 350 put out? A stock T-5 is only rated at something like 240 ftlbs....

Of course if you don't run stickies, and don't try constant 3K launches you'll be fine with the stock T-5. Depends on how you treat it.

He can make your T5 take 450 hp/ ft. lbs. for well under $1000. He'll also tell you the same as above, about torque, but knows how to put in some forged pieces to beef it up nicely--maybe for less than usual because you have a new rebuild--but that's his business.
