Rear End Ratios
What is the rear end ratio for these Camaros? I have a 1991 automatic RS 305 TBI. I haven't meet anyone that knows. Thanks.

Ok. I know it was less than a 3.00, but didn't know. So, a 5-speed car with a 3.24 posi-trac rear end would be a stiffer take-off, right?
It'd be easier for it to take off and a little stiffer because it's posi, but the top speed would be lower then a 2.92 or what ever if it was a 3.23
Basically
1) higher the gear, more take off power, lower top speed
2) Lower the gear, less take off power, higher top speed
And check the console for a number starting with "G", that's the gear ratio and here's the codes...
GU2 - 2.73
GU4 - 3.08
GU5 - 3.23
GU6 - 3.42
GW6 - 3.27
GM3 - 3.45
GT4 - 3.73
G80 - posi
G92 - performance
