Diffrent axle ratios?

I was looking to put 3.73 gears in my rear end. I thought all F bodys had 2.73 gears in them. Well i opened up my haynes repair manual and it gave me a list according to the id number of diffrent axle ratios. They were from 2.73 to 3.73??? I havnt checked the id number on my rear end yet but is this true did some f bodys come with 3.73 gears stock?

yeah, the 9 bolts, afaik. Check your rpo codes. or better yet, spin each wheel once (assuming it isnt a posi) and count the number of driveshaft rotations.

edit: my 87 v6/5 spd combo came with 3.42's and my 86 lg4/auto combo came with 3.23's..
