New Raptor Trans-Help me set my TV cable

I finally got a chance to drive, stop, and adjust today. I had the cable housing pushed all the way forward toward the throttle body and it wasn't kicking down like it should. So I drove and adjusted accordingly. Each time I adjusted I would move the cable housing toward the fire wall. BTW this is on a 1992 z28 5.7 TPI with a 700r4 trans. I've got it adjusted so it kicks down good. Do these readings sound right- 70MPH = 4000 RPM 50MPH = 3000 RPM. I thought it wasn't going into OD but at about 60 MPH I down shifted from OD to D and it kicked down, so this leads me to believe it was in 4th gear. This trans is a Raptor Jr. What do you think, is it working right or do I need to adjust on it some more?

There is a procedure in adjusting the TV cable. You do not need to play with it. (I hate to say this) but do a search and find the proper way to do it before you burn up that new trans.

I read instructions on how to adjust the TV cable, but looking at the one you have, I believe I was pushing the cable housing the wrong way. I was pushing the D button in and pushing the cable housing in toward the front of the car. It looks like the instructions you sent says to push the cable housing toward the fire wall until it bottoms out. Is that the way your reading it?

Thanks for your help, I went outside about 30 minutes ago and did it the right way. I knew it was right when I heard it clicking when I moved the linkage to WOT. Thanks again.
