You dont want a manual valve body unless its a full on race car. It basicly makes your auto like a stick, whatever the gear selector is in, thats the gear its gonna be in, no downshifting or upshifting on its own.
And my vote is for Transgo, thats what i have and I love it.

Ya dont do manual. I have the Transgo kit as well. It is probably one of the most complete kits out there. Corvette servo, valve body valves, plugs, and an install video.
I like the kit - nice firm shifts.

If you're hard up for money, the B&M shift improver is pretty good. But i wish i woulda had the cash for the transgo.

not to hijack, but I'm also looking for one. I was thinking a b&m shift improver kit would be fine for me.. And I could upgrade it later, couldnt I? Like if I wanted a new boost valve, vette servo, etc....
Oh, and if the tranny has 130k on it, but still shifts fine and doesnt slip, fluid is nice and red, doesnt smell burned... are there any forseeable problems?

I hope not b/c I just ordered the B&M shift improver kit and my transmission has about the same number of miles. I did a lot of searches prior to ordering it and the general consensus was that if you have the money, you should get the trans go shift kit, and if not, the shift improver kit was a decent alternative to get firm shifts.

that about nails it. Just a little heads up, this thing is a PITA to install. Especially if you dont have a lift or are planning on leaving the tranny in the car while doing it. That stuff about 30 min w/ basic hand tools that B&M tells ya is a load of ****.
