Question about a 700R4 I bought
I got a 700R4 out of a truck today, and I was wondering if the gears are the same on these as they are in the Camero and Firebird? I couldn't tell you what year of truck it came out of right now...I can check. I was told that I will have to change the tail shaft on it...being as its different well thats what I hear anyway. Thanks

All 700R4s had the same gearing. You will have to change the tailshaft housing, but probably not the shaft itself unless your unit came out of a 4wd. The F-body tailshaft housing has unique mounting provisions for the stock torque arm.
