TKO swappers, which shifter stick??

Hey guys I am swapping out my 700R4 for a TKO600. I will be running the stock Tremec shifter but I dont have a shifter stick and am told a straight one will hit the ash tray. I was looking at Hurst shifter sticks. Which shifter stick do you guys run? how tall is it and how far bent back is it? part numbers? Thanks for the help.

No part numbers, but mine is fabricated, I dont have exact measurments. Its angled about 1/2 in towards the driver side with a bent plate with two holes on it that connect the handle to the base. Then on that plate there is a roundbar welded, moving the shifter back 1 1/2 inches or so, then up. The top is threaded for the shifter ball.

I pulled mine in a junkyard from a late model mustang ( 96 i think ) I did need to make a new trim piece but then again i also have a custom setup. I am not using a spacer between the trans and the bellhousing ( Lakewood ) so you may have the clearance to use the stock piece. Also, the positioning and orentation of the lever is close to perfect. I also replaced the rubber bushing with brass bushings from ACE hardware. Here is a pic of the shift lever in my car.

Just scroll down to the pics

As you probablly noticed, the info is a bit outdated!
