If you have an 87 camaro then your speedo cable should hook up just like your stock one did. You sure the changeover kit is for th400s also? I thought it was just for th350s??
I am also not sure if the 82 driveshaft will be the right length for a th400. It will work perfectly for a th350 with a 6'' tailshaft but the th400 may be different.
I am sure someone will chime in that is alittle more knowledgable than me.

i just put a turbo 400 in my car and i had to fabricate my own bracket for the torque arm as well as my own crossmember since it bolted on so much farther back than the turbo 350 did. i made both brackets out of 1/4" hardened steel. i also had to cut the driveshaft for it since the yoke on a turbo 400 is bigger in diameter than the turbo 350's yoke so i had to cut up two driveshafts and make one good one... it was tons of fun! hope you enjoy it as much as me!

You will need the Hurst kit, not B&M. The hurst kit is about $110-130 and has a new crossmember, torque arm mount, vac line, bolts, etc
The 82-83 3 speed auto driveshaft will work..
You will need to change the slip yoke though
The th-400 uses a larger yoke
You may need a conversion U joint for the front. To mate the driveshaft to new yoke
The vac line goes on mod on trans up to intake
Your speedo cable will hook up same as norm.
