full throtle in over drive

the 700r4 in the rs camaro will not shift into overdrive at full throttle but what about the trans that came in the IROC Z? Will it allow O. D. at full throttle? thanks

No. the automatic trans (700r4) is designed to kick down at like 65% or 75% throttle i think. they have a modified throttle valve to change it to 85% down you will never get that car to run in OD at full throttle

ummm,my 87 IROCZ,91 Z28 and 87 Ta GTA all would shift in OD at WOT but my 91RS want. Me thinks B&M makes something that goes in the trans valve body to let it perform like the Z's&GTA's.

so the z28 trans and the TA trans will shift in to O D at WOT? All others will not? I know for a fact that the RS will not, but I have never had my Z28 that fast to check it. I dont have a place to go that I can get that fast safely.

They won't. At least if they are working correctly. There is no difference between the 700r4 in your z28's and RS's. They are exactly the same.

My 700r4 was really messed up and it would run WOT in 4th. But it was dieing. I really hate 700r4s....
