T5 Ticking Sound
Hey guys, I seem to be having a bit of a problem with my WC T5.
First off, the tranny shifts really smooth....no grinding or problems getting into any gear.
The problem I seem to be having is a very annoying ticking noise that I can hear when the clutch is fully engaged and the car is in gear and moving. The sound speeds up and slows down when I vary the engine speed. It almost sounds like an exhaust leak, but if I sit in neutral and rev the motor the sound is not present. I'm a novice when it comes to transmissions so any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it happens only when the trans is in gear and moving, it likely isn't the clutch, but rather something inside the trans.
Does the noise increase in speed through every gear with engine speed, or continually increase with road speed?
It may be a bad bearing, a broken tooth (or teeth) on one of the gearsets, or something else.
An exhaust leak is also possible, as it may not be noticeable until the engine is under load (moving).
