counter shaft problems when changing cases
I'm swapping out cases from one t-5 to another because the one with the good internals is busted. The only problem is the counter shaft bearings on the reverse gear side aren't like the other ones with four bolts and a retainer. this one seems to have been pressed in and i have no clue as to how to get it out. can someone please give me some help? Thanks

Sounds like you have one 1st design transmission, and one 2nd design.
The parts are incompatible.
It won't work.
The one with the 4-bolt retainer and the tapered roller bearings is the 2nd design (88-up). The one with no retainer and the straight roller bearings is the older one.
