hurst quarter stick?
Does anyone have one in their third gen?
ive heard good things about them, wondering about how well they fit, how easy they are to install, and the overall quality.

I've driven 2 race cars with them, and IMO, I'd tape a quarter to them, and throw it in the garbage. That way if somebody finds it, they'll have something.
I know folks run them in alot of their race cars, but that bicycle handle is a PITA. KISS, do a single lever shifter, you'll be much happier. Quick Silver is a proven shifter, Pro-Ratchet shifter is a great shifter (i run one) and the mega shifters, I dont like them myself with all the goofiness of the shift pattern when trying to get into park, or maybe that was the star shifter or the shifter between the start and the mega.
The ole bicycle handle is just one more thing to think about when banging gears, I personalyl like the slap it and forget it for all the gears.

I run one and love it
Really can't stand to drive a car that has a mega shifter in it, just hate the feel of those. One of these days I'll get around to making the install a bit better looking.

I have a B&M pro stick in my 88 camaro. The pro stick is B&M's version of the quarter stick.
I have used just about all the diff auto shifters at some time or other in diff cars.. Myself I like the pro stick/ quarter stick the best of any of them.
I don't think they make a consol version of the pro stick/ quarter stick shifter, so you'll have to fab the mounts up your self.
It wasnt to hard to put in.. The shifter has a flat base on it. I had to add a pc. of bend flat bar under the shifter to get it to sit the right height up. I think I bent the flat bar to sit 1" off the floor.
Then I drilled 2 holes in the flat bar to match the 2 holes in the shifter base. Then drilled 2 holes in the floor pan that matchs them as well.
Then just put 2 bolts, taps and washers through floor pan, flat bar and shifter.
Now to re use the stock top shifter plate I had to do alittle grinding. In the shifter slot, I had to grind the bottom of slot about .25" or so on the front.
Then over to the side on the bottom of the plate, part of the light houseing for the letters hits the top of the shifter's gate plate and you got to grind alittle of that light housing off.
I installed mine alittle lower than EvilCartman did. That away it looks stock-ish from a quick look at it. But his way it great too, nice clean look to it.
Here's the pics of mine.. (sorry I don't have any close ups of it)

I want to lower mine down but haven't bothered to do it yet
There's an aluminum block mine bolts to then the block bolts to the car. Should be able to just knock off a bit on the top and remake the top plate so it looks better
One of my projects for this year.

whats up guys...i ordered it...it came.
yesterday i kinda did a pre-install with my autoshop teacher. to keep away from drilling a new hole in the floor for the cable, we are choosing to reuse the stock hole with the hurst cable. in order to do this, we have to move the shifter over about an inch or 2. to reuse the stock plate...we cut out the PRNODD21 thing and the light...thats where the shifter is going to go. I'm getting some square tubing to make spacers out of for the thing. the shifter plate that came with the quarter stick is gonna be used...and it will cover up the one side...the other side I will have a matching piece of aluminum made that matches the length x width and all...and so in a nutshell it will look a lot more uniform/clean. I'll post pics when its in.
