TH350 Gov.
has anyone changed a gov and can tell me what i am geting into, i have never done it b4. how hard is it do, can i just figure it out looking at it???? any info is welcome.

Car: 1988 Camaro
Engine: 355, 10.34:1, 249/252 @.050", IK200
Transmission: TH-400, 3500 stall 9.5" converter
Axle/Gears: Ford 9", detroit locker, 3.89 gears
If the trans is out of car it's a walk in the park.
If trans is in car, you will have to drop torque arm, crossmember, and let trans down alittle (no need to un bolt from engine, just let it tilt down)
There's a round cover on rear driver's side of trans. It has a bell clip over it. Pop the bell off with a screw driver, now place screw driver on lip on rear of cover, tap with hammer. It will come off.
You'll see the gov. Grab it and pull outward, and twist alittle as you pull on it. It will come right out.
To put in, just push gov. in, It will kinda twist as it goes in.
Then place O ring seal on gov. cover, place cover on hole, and tap it a very times softy to get it started. Then get screw driver again and place on front of lip and hammer it in.
Then put the bell back on
