Replacing TO bearing

So my throwout bearing is gone, and I have question. Do I need to drain the trans fluid. I don't see why I would but I read somewhere that you need to. I'm also going to have to align the clutch up again correct? I haven't done much clutch work before, so any help would be appreciated.

No to both questions. Unless you plan to remove the clutch then you will need to align them up again.
