Tranny wont shift up!!

Engine: 5.7 LS1
Transmission: 4L60E Transgo shift kit, 3500 stall
Axle/Gears: 4th Gen Rear 3:42
Tranny wont shift up!!

The tranny wont shift to 3rd gear, when the car is cold it shift perfect but when it getts hot it stops working at all, sometimes i get it to shift. This all happen after the shift kit. The thing that gets me is it only does it when the car gets hot. I over filled it to so i took out some fuild but now its fine. What do you think it is. The TV is fine. Help guys

Sounds like you made a boo-boo during the kit installation...maybe missed a checkball or had a glitch w/ the one of the accumulator pistons.

Drop that pan and get to work. May want to call the kit mfg and get a set of valve body gaskets sent out.

You think i will need new gaskets again? Man this sucks i didnt want to take the valve body off again it hard and frustrating. But why it only does this when the tranny gets hot? thanks for the reply kevinc.

id ake sure you dont have any loss bolts first, if theres a bolt or 2 loose and with the expansion of the metal when it gets hot could be casuing a leak.
