Stiff clutch, can't find answers!
I got my ride about two months ago. (89 Camaro with a nice strong 355) The guy that built it put a small block into a V-6 chassis.
He installed in a Hays racing clutch assy. with a Lakewood bellhousing. He used the stock clutch master cylinder and pedal.
Now the problem; the clutch pedal is very stiff, and the clutch completely disengages at about 2/3 travel.
Do I need a different slave cylinder that is larger in diameter that will allow for a different master to slave cylinder ratio?
If a larger slave cylinder is needed, do you know where I can procure one for the Lakewood bellhousing?
Any other ideas of what is going on, or a fix?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Russell.

Do you know if he changed the cluch over to a 10.5 or did he use stock type 9&5/8 th's clucth to match the v6 tranny . If it's a raceing clucth for the 9.5 this may be why it is stiff . I am not formilure with what's avaliable for the that clucth size. If it feels like something is not right then you are probley correct . Sorry could not be more helpful Good Luck .

The clutch is a Hay's 11in. The tranny is a T-10, I dont think that matters though. Thanks for your help RocBoy.
