simple Q, 90 degree versus canted t-5 positioning
I have the tko-600 tranny ordered through forte's with their adapter bracket.
The tko is 90 degree bolting from the trans to the bellhousing. When i use the spacer bracket that they sold me to rotate the transmission to the 17 degree canted position of the t-5 will the make the tailshaft sit higher or lower then if it was just bolted up at 90 degrees?

im not familiar with the spacer, but if all the bracket does is rotate the tranny, it should be the same height.
you may be looking at a custom cut driveshaft, though, if your spacer pushes the tranny toward the rear of the car. this would also be reflected in the mounting point on the tranny crossmember. the angle of the tranny mount would also concern me. if the mount doesnt sit flush, this may affect your tailshaft height. sitting farther back in the car will also bring it up a little, but not too much.
you may also have some shifter issues, but that should be solved with a 3rd gen shifter

sorry i was very unclear in what i asked, all i want to know is if the transmission being rotated 17 degrees from 90 degrees would make the tailshaft higher or lower so does it rotate the trans in an upward position or a downward one.

the difference shouldnt be terribly significant. on a 17* rotation, the shaft would move more laterally than vertically. even still, im pretty sure that the input and output shafts are on the same plane, which would just mean that you are spinning the output shaft, assuming that you are mounting it at the same height.

i'm wondering because the tko-600 that i got is all bolted in but my engine looks like the front of it is a little too high and the dist a little too far down/close to the firewall

if you want to check if it is too far angled back, you can use a degree level on a flat portion along the drivetrain, i.e. head intake flange, the bottom of the transmission, oil pan rail. i dont think youre supposed to have more than 3-6 degrees of rearward tilt.

but i would check those numbers with an engine builder, or some knowledgeable dude here on TGO
