Jerking when decelerating
a got a problem here that is bugging the hell outta me and it can't be good for the drivetrain either...
when I slow down, the car just sits and jerks back and forth pretty violently, until i get to a stop...i can down shift manually to get it to stop jerking, but when it gets to low rpms, it just gets in its cycle and keeps jerking...
i have no idea what would be causing it, because my whole drivetrain is brand new...i know it has nothin to do with my rearend, that sounds fine, and i'm almost certain the tranny is causing it, btu I have no idea on how to fix it....the motor is running a little rough, but not bad enough i don't think to cuase this...is there maybe an adjustment i can make on the tranny to stop this?

Is your torque arm in the right place and has good mounts? good tranny mounts? driveshaft loose? I'd check those and if they're good I'd think it'd have something to do with the transmission internally.

yea prothane tranny mount, prothane torque arm bushing, driveshaft is good...
as far as the torque arm, i had a couple 1" pieces of solid stainless welded into the recessed areas of it to stiffen it up...that wouldn't affect anything would it?

Have you pressed the break pedal to unlock the converter to see if it stops, sometimes mine will do something almost like you described untill I hit the B/P. worth a try?

yea i just spent 200 bucks to get a new brake switch for the pedal to disengage the torque converter switch, cuz there wasn't one there, and all the wires were all chopped...it still seems to surge if when i'm slightly braking also.....i can't totally remember tho.
that is what it seems like too, because if the torque coverter is locked all the time, then every little surge from the motor, it would transmit it into a surging through the rest of the drivetrain....
