TransGo 700R4 Street/Strip v. Heavy Duty Shift Kit

Hi,
I'm daily driver but sometimes do a little race from traffic lights. I'm wondering about TransGo 700R4 Street/Strip Shift Kit w/1-2 accumulator from Pro Built. But maybe Trans-Go 700R4 Heavy Duty Shift Kit will be ok for me? Does Street/Strip Kit include Heavy Duty Shift Kit or they are two absolutely different things?
What is your opinion about
http://www.thesurecure.com/parts/parts/SC-4L60.htm
Thx for your help.

One more question. Does it make any sense to put TransGo Street/Strip Kit with stock converter (10" is recomended)? Has anybody made that?

Ok, I see ProBuilt is not interested in answering any of my questions (PM, e-mails ) so I ask only about The SureCure kit. Does anybody know it?

I have a 700R4 with a heavy duty shift kit in it. It's nice, easy to smack into gear, no real problems with it. I don't know wnough about it as I usually don't like auto's and I dispise working on them, but I had it thrown in when the tranny was rebuilt when I bought the car from the previous owner. (Part of the buying agreement as with him driving to show what it "could do", the tranny popped). So I don't know enough as far as install on it, But I race mine around when it's running right, and it shifts fine. i throw it into the gears around 5,000 or so depending on how hard I'm being on it and who's next to me.

Thx for the answer. Heavy duty kit seems to be similar with Sonnax The Sure Cure kit, so probably i'll go with it plus corvette servo.

The Street/Strip Trans-Go Performance Shift kit, can be used with the stock torque converter. Just let me know, as I modify the kit for the 12" TC. That way the shifts will not be too firm at light throttle openings. The HD Trans-Go Shift kit I modify for the stock torque converter. I ahve not been on line for several days due to DSL problems.

Thx for your reply ProBuild
Please tell me your suggestions to my idea:
- T/A'91 GTA with stock 350 engine
- stock converter
- stock transmission + street/strip Trans-Go Performance Shift kit + trans cooler.
What parts, in your opinion, should I upgrade in my transmission for the above set up? I'd like my tranny to be alive long ...

I recently purchased a TransGo Kit, I was wondering if it's a smart idea to replace the seperator plate when installing the kit, especially since I don't know if it has been modified (the transmission was rebuilt before I bought the car)...

Also, I am wondering what else I should do while I'm in the tranny.

My setup will be...

Fresh 383 (somewhere hopefully around 400hp/425tq at the fly), 2600 Stall converter (stock diameter), TransGo Modified Street/Strip Kit w 1-2 Accumulator, Aftermarket Tranny cooler... any chance I can get this thing to survive for a while or am I going to be running on borrowed time? The transmission was rebuilt less than 10k ago, but I believe it was just a stock style rebuild...

Are you wanting to rebuild the transmission? or just add the Shift kit?

I was hoping to just add the shift kit, and maybe a seperator plate, if everyone thought that was a good idea. It wasn't beat on at all in that 10k since the last rebuild. Ideally I'd like it to last for a while so I can save up some money to buy a transmission from you, along with a nice torque converter, but I don't know what a stock style transmission can handle, or how long it can handle it.

I am basically trying to get it to last by adding the shift kit.

What do you think?

As for me, I'll have to rebuild my tranny, at least 3-4 clutches. It'll be inspected soon, I hope. What parts should be my "must have"?
