The T5 in my 84 Z28 just went out the other day and the only replacement I could find was a T5 out of a v-6 84 Camaro. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to change the input shaft out on this tranny. The v-8 input shaft has 26 splines on it and the v-6 only has 14 splines. As far as I can tell this is the only difference between the 2 of them. If I'm wrong please correct me but if not how hard would it be to change the input shaft. I am currently going through Camaro withdraws and don't wanna rush this and regret it later. Any help would be great.
