9 bolt leaking need help!!!

Car: 86 sports coupe-83 berlinetta
Engine: 5.0 in the sports coupe-350 in the berlinetta
Transmission: 700r4 in the sports coupe-turbo-350 with a 2500 stal in the berlinetta
9 bolt leaking need help!!!

I know of 2 ways to fix this but i want your input.
1st is to clean and silacone the axle tubes.
2nd the best ( I think) is to remove and clean the rear, have a bead welded around the axle tubes.
Please give your input on these 2 fixes.

Transmission: auto 350 w/reverse valve body
Axle/Gears: 410 ratio
9 bolt leaking

A leak in the axle tube of a rearend means it is cracked. Find a reputable welder
