at wot tranny shifts from first to second at 5000 but shifts from second to third at 4500. new to 700r4 my last camaro had a t5.

That sounds close, is it a new tranny? If so it's going to shift at a lower RPM then a used one. When i got my new 4L60E it shifted at 5700 but now shifts at 6000.

Also, what speeds are you going when it shifts? 5000 RPM should be around 45-50 mph or so.

 

the previous owner said it was rebuilt. they didnt take care of it very well when i got it home and checked the fluid there wasnt any. trans slips a lil bit, and yeah shifts outa first at around 40-45 mph
