700r4 suggestions

i searched and didn't really find what i'm wanting to know. i'm getting ready to rebuild a 700r4 that is for a car that is mainly a dialy driver but does get beat on and makes track trips here and there. anyways, its a v6 car so the (bell)housing of tranny is different but i believe that all of the internals are the same as the v8s. i have a shift kit in my current tranny but its slipping between 2nd and 3rd. i bought a "new" tranny that will be built. this car is in the process of going turbo (already runs high 14s, though) so the tranny needs to be strong! what can you all recommend to me for good, efficient parts? i would like to make this thing more efficient than most autos. i don't think i'll need to go with 5 gear planetaries or any of that. but, which pumps are more efficient? what other things can be done to achieve less power loss through the drivetrain? i'll probably be putting around 450 hp into it but my main thing is efficiency!!! thanks for any advice!
