Trans

The Corvette trans does not fit in a F-body, shorter rear shaft and no rear mount.

i think the torque converters have a higher stall, and tighter springs for firm shifts.

Is there anyway to make the vette version fit the F-body?
I have a Rossler 700r4 from a 91 or 92 Vette, it has had a rear mount put on it to bolt up to an f-body.
But, I didn't know about the shorter rear shaft.

Why not get your Z28 trans rebuilt?
I'm sure if you have the trans out you can have a trans guy tweek it for not to to much and buy you're own parts..

Not sure if what you're askin will work on the vette trans. I don't think it will work though without tons of work at least.

I rebuild my old 350Turbo trans in my 84 grand prix like 6 years ago. i drilled out valve body, removed check *****, installed a kick *** pump, and removed my wave plates, and a higher stall. It shift hard as hell, i had 4'11 rear end too then installed my stock 2.07 rear after because i was getting into to much trouble hahaha. I'd be on the gas 15% and be able to spin tires just like idleing into second gear. My rear end kept having problems like loose spiders and worn out spiders. But the trans lasted 50k then i sold the car. I love auto trans it's the way i've always gone. BTW with my 2.07 rear in i'd still smoke my tires shifting into second gear going about 50mph haha. people would get scared when i'd shift right next them.
damn sorry not get get of the topic or anything good times.
