rear axle spool. maybe.

I was wanting to do something about my one wheel wonder when i get all over the the gas, but dont have the kind of money for a locker. A friend told me that i could weld what he called the "spider gears" in the housing and it would just act as a constant solid axle. has anyone heard of this, and if so colud i get some advice on it. is it worth doing, would it last, how would i do it, etc.

When I still had a 10 bolt in my race car I had that. It was professionally done by a welder with some good welding rods.

I still wouldn't recommend it for any kind of street use. The money you're trying to save will probably cost you more in the long run. Buy a good posi instead.

I wonder if I could sell my old 10 bolt, 28 spline, welded carrier on Ebay? I'd have to see if I even still have it. I switched to a 9" and full spool years ago.
