this is why needed a better rear
ouch ! it couldve been worse i guess, no worries i'm soon banishing the 7.5 to anchor duty

I ended up with a 12 now, you know that is weird because the ring and pinion are fine..... ha ha ! so it looks like i'll have 3.73 laying around for a 7.5
an old friend who worked at a dealer installed the gear he said it was set up on the deep side so the fatter part of the teeth would be used more , but for a aftermarket gear is was as quiet as stock.

would a salvage yard need a housing you think?
