ok i bought an 85 trans am with an auto trans i am new to auto trans i have only owned manual trans.when i am changing the tranny fluid i first drop the pan right? and empty the tranny fluid then this is the part i am confused on where is the bolt that i remove to refill tranny or do i just dump the tranny fluid in where the dip stick is in engine compartment?. thanks for your help.

 

you dump it down the dipstick.. also remember when you change the fluid to change the filter.. and be careful when you do that. if you pull the filter out and there is not a rubber O-ring on the end of it.. you have to get the o-ring out of the hole the filter neck goes into or you can cause some damage to your transmission.. filter's are really cheap too....
