Speedocable

does anyone know if theres a difference in speedocable between a 700R4 and a T5?

Also... if there isn't, will that particular speedo cable work with a th350?

Reason I ask is because in my swap, I also changed from T5 to TH350. I went to put my speedo in today and well for some reason I couldn't. Maybe it was the gear on the cable that didn't fit?

Any help would be appreciated.

bump

I went to take a look at my T5 and noticed it had the threading so you could thread the collar of the speedometer cable into it. My th350 doesnt have it. This is where I'm running into a problem.

The threaded sleeve should pull out of the T5 (after removing the single bolt and retainer). Whether it will slip into the TH350, I don't know.

Well for an update..

it slips in. I think the retainer fits in the right spot.. its hard to tell, this damn B&M bracket for my torque arm is in the damn way! Its so hard to put everything in place. My left hand was getting too shaky from not eating all day and I kept dropping the bolt on my head LOL. Really annoying.

I'll give it a shot in the morning. Heh

A TH350 can have either small (like T5) speedo gears or large (BOP TH350, 700-R4 sized driven gears. In some cases, T5 parts are all you need. There are also two different sleeves on the larger driven gears / sleeves; one for higher tooth count; another for lower.

Sounds like you're on the right track.
