Gears act like they are slipping or something?

Ok so i was driving down the road and all the sudden my car jolted. It felt like the gears slipped or something. But then the car kept dricing fine again. It keeps doing this every once in awhile and is kinda worrying me. I'm no expert nad don't know what could be causing this. I topped off fluids in the tranny and the rear end, both where a little low. I check the U-joints on the driveshaft and they are all tight. I'm geussing either the tranny or the rear-end is starting to fall apart or a tooth is missing or something. Any one have any ideas?

Mine did the same thing one day. I didn't think it would make it home. It hasn't done it since then, but I do have another rear end waiting for when this one bites the dust.
