Do i need a clutch???

i have a 85' Trans Am with a 5 speed borg warner i think it is, well the stock tranny... and im not sure about something, let me start from the begining... when i bought the car i noticed it had alot of play in the clutch and i didn't know if that was normal but it seemed to run fine but a month after i bought the car i started to grind going into fourth gear and it has always seemed to grind when going into reverse, someone told me i might need to get my tranny rebuilt cause they think the synchro's are going out but im not sure about it, but in my opinion i think i need a clutch cause reciently she started sliping in a couple of gears.... but i need another opinion so any help would be great... oh and if i do need to replace the clutch what would anyone recommend me getting as far as a replacement, should i get a stock replacement or think about an aftermarket clutch, thanks......

T5's always grind going into reverse, you can stop this by going into 5th before going into reverse. As far as clutches go we use 100% custom units here but if you have to go with a shelf unit I would definately stay away from centerforce. Ram is a decent clutch and so is hays.
