10 bolt help?

I have the rearend apart in the driveway, both axles are out, all bolts on the carrier are out but for some reason the carrier wont come out. the rearend was making a whine sound at speeds above 20mph, so I decided to pull everything apart to see what was damaged. the ring and pinion look good but I need to get the carrier out to see the bearings.

the ring gear has 7 5/8 stamped on it .

what should I try next?

yes the caps are off. could somthing be in a bind?

when I removed the cover I found what looks like small pieces of bearing stuck to the magnet on the cover, if one of the carrier bearings is wuked would it cause the carrier to get stuck?

it's sort of a tight fit, just needs a little help from a pry bar on the carrier to get it out
