what to look 4 before buying t56
I found a t56 near my area for $300 at the time. It had 67,000 miles. Is there anything I should look for to be sure that it is a 6 speed. Are there certain numbers?
Also, I know I'll need the bellhousing and flywheel and clutch. as well as the pedals, hydraulic clutch.
Of these parts which are the hardest to find and which are the most expensive, thats aside from the tranny?
Will I need a different drive shaft?
I hope its still for sale, if not I'll settle for a t-5. finding these transmissions for <500$ is impossible.

first of all I have to say your really lucky to find one for $300. Unfortunatley I don't know about any numbers but just beware. I did one on my 91. just get the clutch flywheel etc from the year camaro the tranny is. no you do not need to replace the drive shaft the trannys are the same size, fits perfect. let me know if I can help at all, let me just tel you its well worth the money spent.
