Engine: 305 5.0L F engine code

Transmission: 700R4

How to control Transmission with aftermerket ecm

I was going to be switching to the holley commander 950 ecm and I was wondering what do I do about transmission control. Can I leave the old ecm in place to take care of that.

Axle/Gears: 3.73

Only thing the ECM does with the trans is lock/unlock the torq conv, to have the old ECM do it I think you need still have the MAP and VSS hooked up. You can do up a manual switch to control the t/c.
