a tranny swap Q
a tranny swap Q
im thinking of grabbing a 3rd gen and doing a buildup, but before anything ive gotta know how easily the tranny comes out?
recently i pulled the motor on my old jeep wrangler, the bellhousing bolts were so hard to get to that we are considering not putting those 2-3 bolts back on. the tranny was hugging to the body so close that it took a tiny ratchet and a 1/4 turn at a time to take the bolt out
really dont wanna hassle with that again.
also how difficult is an auto to manual swap?

Welcome to the world of transmissions. For the most part theres always a bolt on the bellhousing thats going to be a pain. Usually a long extension gets the job done pretty well, but sometimes you do have to do the wrench and quarter turn method.
