another tc lockup question
I've read about two dozen posts asking how the torque converter lockup switch worked, and I know this is posted a lot, so sorry if this is redundant.
I installed a torque converter lockup switch on my car using the tech article instructions, but then read a few things saying that it would probably put a lot more wear on the converter, so I hardly ever use it. My question is when I have the switch off (like I almost always do), and the two terminals are not connected, does it disable the tc from its normal function or does it just function normally unless I flip the switch and manually override it.
I'm just hoping that having the switch there doesn't interfere with it's normal function, and that I'm not wasting gas - it doesn't seem like just having the switch there not turned on it would affect it.
Thanks for any help!
