GM or Parts Store for Slave Cylinder
GM or Parts Store for Slave Cylinder
Need to replace my Slave Cylinder for BW T-5. Do I need to order through the GM Dealership or is the local Car Tech brand going to be sufficient?

From GM the slave, master, hose & reservoir come as one unit. List= $196.08. GMpartsDirect.com will be less.
Appreciate the response...
The local GM Dealership quoted me 86.95 on the Slave Cylinder...but is it better than what I can get at an Advanced AutoParts or Cartech Auto Parts, etc.?

I got my slave from Advance Auto, about $45 for it.
Took me about 2-3 hours to change mine (should have only taken 20 minutes or so). Mine had the pin rusted/stuck so I had to carefully cut the slave apart to get the pin out and I didn't want to remove the hydraulics from the car.
I had to drive the car 30 miles home with no clutch, makes for an intersting drive, especially if you have to stop often.
