Increasing shift points after headers and porting TPI

I'm going to get headers and while I do that port the TPI as much as possible, would raising the shift points by 2-300 rpm be ok or not? I'm know the breathing capability isn't so hot with TPI as they aren't meant for crazy RPMs, but 2-300 isn't sky rocketing.

Would the engine be okay? The car has 88k miles on it. And I the head gaskets were replaced w/i the last year.

Sure, but it probably won't make a difference. The design of the TPI pretty much limits HP being made anytime after 4500 RPM or so.
