Have had the car about 3 weeks....

The car shifts pretty hard going into 2nd gear but I notice how it slides into 3rd really slow....slower then my cadillac deville....not as bad going into OD...

Today on the way home I was in OD and floored it.....it attempted to downshift but never grabbed the gear...the car just revved and revved so I let off gas and it seemed to go into 2nd gear as I slowed down.

Took it out about 8 hours later and it wont shift outta 2nd into 3rd.....ditto 4thOD

Im no expert at anything trans related and Im pretty new to these cars....

So can anyone tell me what they think the problem is?

Im looking at getting a mad dog gangster transmission rated at 400HP now if I cant figure out whats wrong with this tranny

same thing happend to me...well sorta

i raced this car and at the top of second gear, i shifted to third (drive) and it wouldnt go into 3rd, so i let off the gas and then it shifted.

later that day i lost overdrive and third was slipping

that night, i lost 3rd and only had 1 and 2.

time for a rebuild. i blew my 3-4 clutch packs... they were fried. just got old and had too much abuse.
