how do you manually shift a auto with the stock shifter? do you need to push the **** to go thru 1-2-d-overd?

 

yes you do need to push the **** in to manually shift the trans. but i heard its not good for the trans unless you have work done to it. like a shift kit or shift improver kit. shifters like b & m also make shifters that are made especially for manually shifting an automatic.

 

It is very easy to over shift with the stock shifter.

B&M makes a nice shift plate for the stock shifter that makes it very easy to use, much like an aftermarket gate shifter.

And its only like $25 bucks.

 

im going to get a megashifter very soon. Do you need to pull the triger to shift or is the triger only to get out of P and R

 

the trigger is only out of park and drive. you cannot go into reverse from any forward gear with a megashifter without pulling up on the t-handle/trigger.
