Hello i have a 1991 and 1992 Camaro RS with 3.1 6 cyl. Auto.
both with bad tranny's....(both stock)
My question is will my tranny from my '81 Malibu wagon (3.8 6cyl. Auto.) work in either of them??
I believe the trans. from the Malibu is stock...
Hope someone can decypher this for me

I dont think so, im not for sure but i think the 3.8 has the same built patern as the SBC, so it wont bolt up.

Your going to need another 700r4 from a 60* v-6, so a 2.8, 3.1, 3.4 engines with autos and RWD are what your looking for.

If your interested, i have a Freshly rebuilt 700R4 with only 2kmi on it out of my 87 2.8. Had the tranny rebuilt, then blew the motor. Im looking to get $300+ shipping for it if your interested, ill through in a free new lock up converter that was replaced when i had it rebuilt.
