I got parts for mine from www.5speeds.com
The guy, Paul, really seemed to know what he was talking about.

They were all WC T5's from 88-up for the V8 models.

Anyone have the factory specs on the WC T-5? I am wondering how much HP and Torque they can handle before an upgrade is neccasary. I do know they take more then previous 88' and below years.

Thanks

Well the figures Ive seen are 330 ft-lbs for the WC and 300ft-lbs for the non-WC. However most people would disagree with me because they have broken them with less power, but when they test the torque measures these trannies are brand new.

WC T5s are factory rated at 300 lbs/ft. The Z-Spec trans you can buy for a Ford Mustang is rated at 330 lbs/ft. The NWC T5s were rated between 275 and 250 lbs/ft.

A factory 5.0 Camaro or Mustang (305 or 302 CID motor respectively) make 300+ lbs/ft. stock, so these cars left the factory right at the limit of the trans. Most people aren't breaking them with less power, unless they manage it with a V6, but all V6 cars got the NWC trans anyway.
