Have an LT1 93'pcm and harness to a 700R4 (getting a 500hp built one tommorow to install with a stock TCC)

My question is, I have the VSS connected, car runs awsome...I myself did not do the conversion it was done professionally years ago from the last owner but am I getting lock up??

Im going to check tommorow when the sun is up but my VSS should be connected to the 93'LT1 PCM correct?? or not??

I know its the VSS that controls lock up in the converter but im confused as to whether or not mine is working or not, how would I tell?

Or is VSS supposed to be connected to the original 90's ECM??

And I do plan on keeping a 700R4 at all times with this engine/car combo, no interest in going to the later Electronic version of this tranny.

 

All stock 700R4/4L60/4L60E torque converters have clutches.

 

I understand that, but Im wondering that If the VSS is functioning from the trans to the PCM then lock up should still be occuring....correct?

 

The VSS is one of several inputs the PCM uses to decide when to lock and unlock the TCC.
