tranny dont work
700r4 it started slipping so i made it home barly had to keep high rpms to move it then it just stopped right ing the driveway a mechanic told me i did not have the transmission pressure cable or kick down cable. i need a 700r4 for cheap and that works also i heard that the top bellhousing bolts. to get to them i need to cut the floor open. what do i do.
i just replaced my 700r4 my self in my garage. thoose top beelohowsing bolts are a little biut of a pain, but you definately don't need to cut up ur car. to get to thoos bolts i had to remove my distributor and some other small stuff of the back of the intake manifold to give me some room. theres a wire harness that runs over the top of the bellohousing, and theres 2 clamp type detainerrs that bolt this harness to the bellhousing, to the motor. the harness blocks alot of room you have above thees bolts. so when i reistalled my tranny i left thoose things that clamp the harness to the trans off. now i have room in there cause i can move the harness away from the bolts and see what i'm looking at. so if i were u i wouldn't reinstall em just let the harnes rest on the bellhousing you'll be gladd you did the next time you gotta get thoose upper bolts off. i enede up sitting on top of my motor with a flex head racheting type wrench, Autozone sells em 20 bucks for a set or something. definately worth the money. they make easy jobs of bolts/nuts stuck in tight places where a socket won't fit and you can't get the reight angle with a wrech. hope this helps. sorry about any spelling errors or if i said something that doesn't make since. it's saturday night and i'm a lil partyed out . good luck to you

i get the top bell housing bolts from the rear of the tranny by going up the tunnel. about 2 and a half to 3 feet of extensions, a 9/16 swivel socket makes it real easy and no removing anything from the top of the motor.
