i have searched but i can not find answers concrete enough to decide which manual transmission to use(i would like to use a tremec tko) with my 96 iron head lt1. can anyone here answer the following?


1. does anyone know what signal frequency the tko puts out, and also the right units(pulses per mile/revolution)

2. i have gathered that the t56 puts out a 17 pulse per driveshaft rev. is this right?

3. does the aftermarket t56(bolt to a normal bellhousing) put out the right frequency, or is it a mechanical output only?)

i have several reasons that i would like to use a tko, but mostly i would just like a new trans that i can bolt to a normal bell housing since i am using 4th/3rd gen hyd. clutch parts to operate it. since it has both mechanical and digital outs it would be ideal so i can run both the computer and my mechanical speedo.

if anyone can help me out i would appreciate it.
