replacing TV cable

Axle/Gears: 3.73 Torsen Posi, Moser Axles
It's gonna be tight but you should be able change without pulling the trans. There is only 1 bolt that holds it place. If push comes to shove, you could probably drop the trans crossmember which would lower the tailshaft some making sure to let the jack down only a little to gain some extra room. Been there, done it.

I would imagine that you should be able to, but I can't say for sure. I would check with a manual or maybe someone else on this board can answer that with better info for you. Good luck..
UPDATE: Thank you for the help, my husband & I got the cable in..........(tight fit for his hands, so mine in from the top, and his blind from the bottom did the job). However apparently the people who had this car had installed a wrong (way to long) TV cable ran it that way long enough to ruin the transmission. After installing and adjusting we still do not have OD. Acts just like it goes into neutral. In another post was told it was probably the lo roller clutch...............Since we have a wrecked 85 camaro with 2.8 and a m5, guess that m5 will go into the 1988. Anyone know of any changes besides the tranny that need to be done?
