5spd or auto

I'm swapping in a 3.4l this summer and I was going to swap to a World Class 5spd. My brother in law whom works as a senior master tech for ford was telling me about these kits you can get to make the 700r4 into a turbo 350 or 400 and I was wondering would that be better with a high stall converter then swapping to a 5spd? I might put a turbo on the motor but I haven't decided yet, I'm gonna do as much as I can to it to put out as much power without loosing dependability before I install the motor in the car. I'm looking for dependable but also which will transfer the most power to the ground and make the car as quick as possible with the power the motor is putting out.

Also I'm gonna be swapping in a 3.42 posi rear end when I put in the motor and tranny, I might goto 3.73 but I dunno yet.
