Engine: 434ci
Transmission: turbo 400 3500 stall transbrake
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 4.10 spool'd
clutch for a t-5
i have a 84 firebird right now its a 6cyl 5 speed i built a 383 stroker dynoed out at 554 hp at 5500 rpms i would like to put the motor in the car and keep the t-5 from the 6cyl in there for now but i need help with clutch what do i use. i have a v8 bellhousing and i have 456 gear with a spool also so the cluch needs to handle the power and gears plus slicks

with that much power, 4.56 gears, and slicks, you might as well kiss the stock rear end and the trans both goodbye because you are crazy using either of them. dont waste your time even putting the motor in until you at least have a trans that will hold up.
also do you realize that the v6 trans has a pretty low 1st gear? with 4.56 gears you will be grabbing 2nd gear before the first 60ft assuming the trans even lasts that long.

Dont bother. Im swapping out mine right now. And first gear would be good to like 20mph anyway, it would just slip the clutch and burn it up. Thats what mine did

but what clutch do i use the rear is built to handle it i really dont care if the tranny blows up i prolly wont race it with the v6 tranny just want to get it moving untill i can gather up some money for a auto
