Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
They ran out.
Those were the take-outs from new cars that they were putting the SS package on.
Unless you can find some chassis with the GM 7.5" rear end and using the Zexel Torsen carrier in it, and somebody that's upgrading the carrier to make a special model based on it and therefore has the stock take-outs to dispose of in quantity like SLP did, I doubt you'll have much luck finding anything similarly priced (basically "used" pricing for a near-new part).

yea, but figure that you wont have to have the rear end set up so that is a bundle of saved money.

oh yeah I also have another question and figured I'd just continue in this thread. What part is it that i would need to hold 4th gear in a 700r4 at full throttle.
I think the best bet nowadays is to find used rearends from wrecked 4thgens or parts cars. Good chance you can get a relatively low mile posi, better gears, and LS1 brakes for pretty cheap. Not as good as brand new or the ones SLP used to sell with 0 mile, but still pretty cheap and probably better than what you got in there now as far as milage. This is how I'm doing it for my Z28, got a rearend from a '00 SS. Good budget route but not as reliable as brand new.
